Hole saw AWTools AW43426 — AWTools AW43426, weight 1.8 kg
AWTools AW43426 hole saw is designed for cutting larger circular openings in masonry and similar materials. Weighing 1.8 kg, this cutting accessory attaches to standard drills and combines a spiral core body with tungsten carbide teeth to provide durable cutting performance. The tool includes discharge holes for efficient chip removal and comes with a pilot drill for accurate centring and easier start when making holes for electrical, plumbing or construction installations.
The AWTools AW43426 features tungsten carbide teeth that maintain cutting performance on abrasive materials and a spiral core body that reduces friction while improving dust and debris evacuation. Discharge holes assist chip removal to reduce blocking and overheating. The integrated pilot drill ensures a stable, centered start and its design supports both rotary and impact drilling modes, making it versatile for a range of site conditions.
Secure the hole saw to a compatible arbor and install the supplied pilot drill. Mark the centre of the required opening, position the pilot drill on the mark and start drilling at low speed to establish the centre. Once centred, increase speed as appropriate for material and machine capacity, applying steady, even pressure. Use periodic withdrawal to clear debris and allow the discharge holes to expel chips. For deep or large holes, make progressive cuts rather than forcing the tool.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, dust mask and gloves) and a drill with sufficient power and proper arbor. For concrete and very dense masonry, operate at lower speeds and allow the carbide teeth to cut without excessive force. If using impact mode, verify that the hole saw and arbor are rated for percussive operation. Keep the pilot drill sharp and replace worn cutting teeth to maintain cutting efficiency.
