Drill bit AWTools AW43532 — AWTools AW43532, general-purpose metal/wood drilling
AWTools AW43532 is a general-purpose drill bit designed for demanding hole-making tasks in hard and mixed materials. Constructed from 40CR alloy steel with a YG8C carbide-tipped blade and a centering point with a 130° point angle, this bit combines durability and precise cutting. The double-spiral flute and four cutting edges provide efficient chip removal and smooth hole walls while reducing vibration and the chance of jamming. An SDS+ grooved shank secures the bit in compatible hammer drills and rotary hammers for reliable operation in construction, maintenance and repair jobs.
The carbide-tipped cutting edge offers increased wear resistance and maintains cutting performance longer than plain steel bits. The 130° centering point improves drilling precision and reduces walking on the surface. Double spiral flutes enhance debris evacuation and heat dissipation to reduce overheating during extended use. Four cutting edges ensure cleaner, smoother holes and better performance when encountering rebar or heterogeneous materials. The SDS+ grooved shank provides a secure fit and fast bit changes in hammer drills and rotary hammers.
Select an appropriate diameter and insert the SDS+ shank firmly into the chuck of a compatible hammer drill or rotary hammer. Begin drilling at low speed to establish the centering point, then apply steady pressure and increase to the recommended operating speed for the material. Use a percussive mode when drilling concrete or reinforced concrete to assist the carbide tip. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear accumulated dust and debris and allow the bit to cool during extended drilling sequences.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection, gloves and hearing protection. When drilling reinforced concrete, mark rebar locations if possible and avoid excessive side load to prevent chipping of the carbide tip. For longer life, operate the bit at recommended speeds, clear debris frequently, and store in a dry place to prevent corrosion of the steel body.
