Drill bit AWTools AW43574 — model AW43574 by AWTools
AWTools AW43574 is a single replacement drill bit designed for use with hammer drills and rotary hammers. Constructed from 40CR alloy steel with a YG8C carbide-tipped blade, the bit features a centering point with a 130° point angle and a grooved SDS+ shank for secure seating. The double spiral flute design and four cutting edges deliver efficient material removal and smooth hole finishes, making this bit suitable for demanding drilling in hard materials.
The combination of 40CR alloy steel body and YG8C carbide tip provides wear resistance and extended life during drilling into concrete, reinforced concrete and masonry. A centering point with a 130° angle improves drill accuracy and reduces wandering at the start of the hole. Double spiral flutes ensure effective debris removal and help prevent overheating and excessive vibration, while four cutting edges produce clean holes and lower the risk of jamming when encountering rebar. The grooved SDS+ shank secures the bit in the chuck and simplifies quick bit changes.
Select a compatible hammer drill or rotary hammer with an SDS+ chuck, insert the AWTools AW43574 bit into the chuck until it locks in place, and set the drill to the appropriate hammering or rotary mode for the material. Begin drilling at low speed to establish the initial position using the centering point, then increase speed and apply steady pressure appropriate for the material hardness. Clear accumulated debris periodically by withdrawing the bit slightly while running or using pulsed drilling action to maintain efficient cutting and cooling.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) and ensure the workpiece is secure. For prolonged or heavy-duty drilling, allow intermittent breaks to prevent overheating and check the bit for wear; replace the bit when cutting performance deteriorates. Confirm compatibility with your drill model before use.
