Drill Bit AWTools SDS plus 6 x 110 mm Quadro Xtreme Black Line
Drill Bit AWTools SDS plus 6 x 110 mm Quadro Xtreme Black Line
AWTools SDS plus drill bit 6 x 110 mm Quadro Xtreme Black Line is a rotary/concrete drilling accessory designed for use with SDS plus chucks. With a 6 mm diameter and 110 mm overall length, this drill bit is intended for drilling through masonry and concrete and for making deeper holes where reliable percussion action is required. It is compatible with hammer drills and rotary hammers that accept SDS plus shanks and is suitable for both professional tradespeople and DIY users working on installation, fixing, or conduit tasks.
The Quadro Xtreme Black Line bit features a carbide tip shaped for effective material removal and long wear life, while the SDS plus shank ensures secure fastening in the chuck and quick bit changes. The 110 mm length provides adequate reach for many common drilling tasks without excessive wobble, and the 6 mm diameter is a standard size for anchor bolts, screws and dowels. The black finish helps resist corrosion and makes the bit easy to identify among other accessories.
This drill bit is not intended for drilling into metal, wood, ceramic tile or glass; using it on those materials will reduce performance and may damage the tip. It is sized for 6 mm holes only, so it will not replace larger-diameter masonry bits when bigger anchor points are required. For extremely hard reinforced concrete with heavy rebar, a specialised bit or core drilling solution may be more appropriate.
Fit the SDS plus shank securely into the hammer drill chuck according to the tool manufacturer's instructions. Select the hammer or rotary hammer mode for masonry drilling. Begin drilling at low speed to establish the hole, then apply consistent axial pressure while allowing the percussion action to remove material. Withdraw the bit occasionally to clear dust and debris for deeper holes. Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection, gloves and a dust mask when drilling concrete or brick.
For consistent results, use in hammer mode on compatible SDS plus rotary hammers, start holes at low speed, clear dust regularly, and match drill diameter to the recommended size of anchors or plugs. Replace the bit when the carbide tip shows visible wear to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
