Drill Bit AWTools SDS Plus 6 x 210 mm Quadro Xtreme Black Line
Drill Bit AWTools SDS Plus 6 x 210 mm Quadro Xtreme Black Line
The AWTools SDS Plus 6 x 210 mm Quadro Xtreme Black Line drill bit is a masonry bit engineered for use with SDS Plus rotary and hammer drills. With a 6 mm diameter and 210 mm overall length, it is designed to drill precise holes in concrete, brick and natural stone. The Quadro multi-edge tip improves cutting efficiency and the black finish offers surface protection against corrosion and wear. This bit is intended for fastening, anchor and through-hole applications typical in construction and renovation work.
The Quadro Xtreme tip geometry combines multiple cutting edges to deliver faster penetration and more efficient dust removal compared with standard conical tips. The SDS Plus shank ensures secure tool-bit engagement and quick changes in compatible drills. The 210 mm length provides extended reach for medium-depth drilling, while the black protective coating reduces friction and helps resist surface corrosion during typical jobsite exposure.
This drill bit is optimised for masonry materials and may perform poorly or wear quickly if used on hardened steel, reinforced rebar without appropriate technique, or on very abrasive composite materials. It is not intended for precision metalworking or wood-specific applications where different tip geometries and coatings are preferable.
Install the AWTools Quadro Xtreme bit into the SDS Plus chuck until it locks. Select hammer or rotary-hammer drilling mode appropriate to the material. Begin drilling at low speed to locate the hole, then apply steady pressure and allow the hammer action to do the work—avoid excessive force that can overheat or damage the bit. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust from the hole and extend tool life. For anchor installations, ensure hole depth and diameter match anchor manufacturer recommendations.
Use with appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, dust mask, hearing protection). For reinforced concrete, scan for rebar before drilling and use a suitable rebar-cutting technique or a dedicated bit if necessary. Maintain moderate feed pressure and clear debris frequently to maximize performance and bit life.
