Drill Bit AWTools SDS‑Plus 6 x 260 mm Quadro Xtreme Black Line
Drill Bit AWTools SDS‑Plus 6 x 260 mm Quadro Xtreme Black Line
AWTools SDS‑Plus 6 x 260 mm Quadro Xtreme Black Line is a rotary and hammer drill bit designed for use with SDS‑Plus drills. With a 6 mm working diameter and a total length of 260 mm, this bit is intended for drilling holes in concrete, masonry and natural stone. The Quadro tip geometry improves cutting efficiency and helps evacuate dust and chips, while the black finish provides additional surface protection against wear and corrosion.
The Quadro Xtreme tip geometry provides stable centring and efficient penetration in hard substrates, reducing walking and improving drill progress. The SDS‑Plus shank ensures fast, secure connection to compatible rotary and hammer drills, enabling quick bit changes and stable torque transmission. A black protective coating increases resistance to abrasion and limits surface corrosion during storage and frequent use.
This SDS‑Plus 6 x 260 mm bit is not intended for heavy demolition where larger diameters and carbide‑tipped chisels are required. It may not be the most efficient choice for continuous large‑diameter drilling or for drilling in very abrasive artificial stone where specialized masonry bits are preferred.
Fit the SDS‑Plus shank into the drill’s chuck until it locks into position. Select an appropriate drilling mode (rotary with percussion) and set the drill speed according to the substrate hardness — lower speeds for reinforced concrete, moderate speeds for soft masonry. Apply steady axial pressure without forcing the bit; allow the drill and Quadro tip to do the cutting. Periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust and chips and to avoid overheating. Replace the bit when wear on the tip affects drilling performance.
For best results, use the bit with a hammer drill rated for SDS‑Plus accessories, keep a steady feed rate, and clear dust frequently. Replace the bit when chipping or reduced penetration indicates tip wear to maintain hole quality and drilling efficiency.
