Drill Bit AWTools SDS Plus 8 x 160 mm QUADRO XTREME Black Line
AWTools Drill Bit SDS Plus 8 x 160 mm QUADRO XTREME Black Line is a masonry drill bit engineered for SDS Plus rotary hammers. With an 8 mm diameter and 160 mm overall length, the bit is intended for drilling into concrete, brick and natural stone. The QUADRO tip geometry improves chip evacuation and keeps the drill running stably during heavy-duty and renovation tasks.
The QUADRO tip geometry delivers efficient material removal and reduced wandering at the hole entry, while the SDS Plus shank ensures secure tool-to-bit engagement and fast bit changes. The bit’s hardened cutting edges and precise centering provide consistent hole quality and extended service life compared with standard masonry bits under similar working conditions.
This masonry drill bit is not designed for use in high-speed rotary-only drills without a hammer function or for drilling into hard metals, ceramics, glass or tile. For heavy reinforced concrete with dense rebar or for core drilling large diameters, dedicated rebar-cutting or core-drilling tools are more appropriate.
Fit the SDS Plus shank fully into the rotary hammer’s chuck until it locks. Select the hammer-drill mode and start drilling at low speed to establish a precise starting point, then apply steady pressure and allow the tool’s hammer action to do the work. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear dust and chips from the hole and to prevent overheating; use compressed air or a brush if necessary. For holes near reinforcement, reduce feed pressure and check frequently to avoid sudden contact with rebar.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection and a dust mask. Maintain steady, moderate pressure and allow the bit to clear frequently to prolong life and ensure consistent hole quality.
