Drill Bit AWTools SDS‑MAX 35 x 600 x 740 mm, square shank
Drill Bit AWTools SDS‑MAX 35 x 600 x 740 mm, square shank
AWTools SDS‑MAX drill bit with a 35 mm cutting diameter, 600 mm working length and 740 mm overall length is designed for rotary and demolition hammers that accept SDS‑MAX tooling. The bit has a square shank to ensure secure fitting and accurate power transfer during heavy drilling in concrete and masonry. Its geometry and length make it suitable for creating clean anchor holes, through‑holes and other deep drilling operations on construction sites.
The solid construction and SDS‑MAX interface provide high impact resistance and stable centring in compatible hammers. The 35 mm diameter and long working length allow efficient removal of material when making deep holes, reducing the need for re‑drilling. The square shank design improves torque transmission and reduces slippage under high load. The bit is balanced for straight drilling and built to withstand repeated use in demanding environments.
Select an SDS‑MAX compatible rotary or demolition hammer with sufficient impact energy for 35 mm drilling. Secure the bit in the toolʼs chuck until it locks; ensure the square shank seats fully to prevent slippage. Mark the drilling location, start at low speed to establish a guide groove, then increase to the appropriate drilling speed and maintain steady pressure without forcing the tool. For deep holes, periodically withdraw the bit to clear dust and debris and allow cooling. Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye and ear protection, dust mask and gloves.
For best performance, use the bit with a hammer that delivers adequate impact energy for large‑diameter drilling in concrete. When drilling reinforced concrete, advance slowly and clear debris frequently. Store the bit dry and inspect the cutting head before use; replace the bit if the cutting edges are worn or the shank is damaged.
