Circular saw blade AWTools AW48458, weight 300 g
The AWTools AW48458 circular saw blade is a replaceable cutting component designed for general-purpose woodworking and material cutting. Made of high-quality carbon steel with laser cutting and tungsten-carbide teeth, the blade balances durability and cutting performance. It includes expansion slots to reduce heat buildup and minimize deformation during prolonged use and comes with reduction rings to fit different arbor sizes.
The carbide-tipped teeth provide extended sharpness and consistent cut quality across hardwood, wood-based panels and hard plastics. The laser-cut carbon steel body offers dimensional accuracy and stability, while the expansion slots dissipate heat to maintain blade shape under load. Alternating bevel teeth with a 10° positive hook angle and an approximately 4.5 mm kerf deliver efficient, controlled cuts. Included reduction rings allow compatibility with multiple saw arbor diameters.
Mount the blade on a compatible circular saw following the saw manufacturer's instructions and ensure the arbor reduction ring, if required, is correctly fitted to match the saw's arbor diameter. Verify blade rotation direction matches the saw's indicator. Secure the blade with the appropriate flange and nut, tighten to the specified torque, and check runout before use. For safe operation, wear appropriate personal protective equipment and use a suitable push stick or fence when making cuts. Allow the blade to reach full speed before engaging the workpiece and feed the material steadily to avoid binding.
For best results, use this blade for transverse and angled cuts in hardwood, composite wood panels and hard plastics. Avoid cutting metal or materials with embedded fasteners. Periodically inspect the teeth for wear and replace the blade when cutting quality diminishes. Maintain proper saw alignment and keep feeds moderate to extend blade life.
