Circular saw blade AWTools AW48482, 1.2 kg weight
AWTools AW48482 is a circular saw blade designed for general cutting tasks in construction sites and workshops. Made of high-quality laser-cut carbon steel with tungsten-carbide teeth, this blade is built to deliver consistent straight cuts in hardwood, wood-based panels and hard plastics. The blade is supplied with a 30 mm bore and includes 22 mm and 16 mm reduction rings for compatibility with a wide range of stationary and portable saws; smaller diameter variants (115–125 mm) feature a 22 mm bore. The blade is specified with a kerf width of approximately 4.5 mm and a 10° positive hook angle to support efficient material removal.
The laser-cut carbon steel body provides dimensional stability while expansion slots reduce heat buildup and help prevent deformation during prolonged cutting. Tungsten-carbide teeth maintain sharpness longer than standard steel teeth and deliver improved cut quality and edge finish. Alternating bevel tooth geometry combined with a positive hook angle ensures smooth transverse and angular cuts. Included reduction rings increase compatibility across various saw arbors, allowing use with many common stationary and portable machines.
Before installation, verify the saw arbor diameter and select the appropriate reduction ring if needed. Ensure the blade is mounted with the teeth pointing in the correct rotation direction indicated on the saw. Tighten the arbor flange to the manufacturer’s recommended torque and confirm blade runout is within the saw’s tolerance. Use appropriate saw guards and clamps to secure workpieces. Adjust feed rate and cutting depth to match the material being cut and avoid excessive force that could overload the blade.
Wear eye, hearing and respiratory protection when cutting. For optimal blade life and cut quality, avoid prolonged cutting without breaks to allow cooling; keep expansion slots clear of debris. Use the blade for its intended materials—hardwood, wood-based panels and hard plastics—and inspect for damage or wear before each use.
