Hole Saw AWTools OTWORNICA Bimetal HSS-Co 8% 95 mm BLACK LINE
AWTools OTWORNICA Bimetal HSS-Co 8% 95 mm BLACK LINE is a bimetal hole saw designed for cutting round openings in metal and a range of construction materials. The cutting edge is made from high-speed steel with 8% cobalt (HSS-Co), which increases wear resistance and cutting life compared with standard HSS. The 95 mm diameter makes it suitable for creating larger holes for pipework, conduit, ventilation ducts and other installations when used with compatible drills or drill presses.
The HSS-Co 8% cutting edge provides improved hardness at elevated temperatures and greater resistance to abrasion, extending tool life during repeated use. The bimetal construction combines a tough backing strip with the hardened cutting teeth for increased flexibility and reduced breakage risk. The BLACK LINE finish offers corrosion protection and helps reduce friction during cutting, improving feed and control. The saw is compatible with common arbors and drill chucks when fitted to the appropriate mandrel.
Fit the hole saw to a compatible arbor and secure it in the drill or drill press chuck. Mark the hole centre on the workpiece, clamp the material to prevent movement, and start drilling at low speed to establish the cut. Apply steady, moderate pressure and increase speed as appropriate for the material, allowing the cutter to clear swarf regularly. Use cutting fluid when drilling steel to reduce heat and prolong cutting edge life. After completing the hole, remove the saw and clean teeth and arbor of debris.
For best performance when cutting steel and other hard metals, use cutting fluid, maintain moderate feed pressure, and operate the drill at a speed appropriate for the 95 mm diameter. Inspect teeth regularly for wear; replace the saw if teeth are damaged or performance decreases significantly. Use proper personal protective equipment such as eye protection and gloves when cutting.
