AWTOOLS AW49750 jigsaw/scroll saw/reciprocating saw blade
AWTOOLS AW49750 jigsaw/scroll saw/reciprocating saw blade
AWTOOLS AW49750 jigsaw/scroll saw/reciprocating saw blade set contains ten interchangeable blades designed for use with tools accepting a 1/2" (13 mm) shank. The assortment includes blades for general woodcutting and finer-pitch blades for detailed work, plus bi-metal blades intended for cutting metal and wood with embedded nails. Total weight is approximately 230 g. This set is intended to provide basic versatility when working with a range of common construction and renovation materials.
The set groups multiple tooth pitches and blade types in one package, allowing quick blade changes for different materials without buying separate packs. Bi-metal blades add durability and resistance to heat when cutting metal or nail-bearing timber. All blades use the common 1/2" (13 mm) shank format, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of jigsaws, scroll saws and reciprocating saws that accept this shank size.
Select the blade appropriate for the material and desired finish: use 6 TPI blades for faster, rougher cuts in wood, 10 TPI for smoother wood cuts, and 18 TPI bi-metal blades for metal or nail-containing wood. Ensure the saw is switched off and unplugged (or battery removed) before fitting a blade. Insert the 1/2" (13 mm) shank into the tool's blade holder according to the saw manufacturer's instructions and secure it. Set the correct speed and, where available, use variable speed and orbital settings to match the material. Make controlled passes, avoiding excessive pressure to prevent blade breakage or overheating.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves. Clamp the workpiece securely and allow the blade to do the cutting without forcing it. For prolonged metal cutting, pause regularly to reduce heat buildup. Replace blades when worn or damaged to maintain cut quality and safety.
