AWTOOLS AW49758 jigsaw/scroll saw/reciprocating saw blade
AWTOOLS AW49758 jigsaw/scroll saw/reciprocating saw blade
The AWTOOLS AW49758 jigsaw/scroll saw/reciprocating saw blade set contains a variety of blades designed for cutting wood, metal and common construction materials. Packaged as a mixed assortment, the set fits all standard reciprocating saws that accept a 1/2" (13 mm) shank and provides multiple tooth profiles and lengths to match different cutting tasks. Total weight is approximately 644 g.
This assortment includes seven blade types and multiple pieces of each type, offering flexibility for straight and aggressive cuts as well as fine finishing. The set contains bimetal blades for improved durability when cutting metal and high-carbon blades optimized for fast wood cutting. Having a range of tooth counts and lengths reduces the need to change blades frequently and supports efficient work on varied materials.
Select the blade type and tooth count appropriate for the material and desired finish: coarse teeth for fast, aggressive cuts in thick wood, finer teeth for smooth finishes and thin materials, and bimetal blades for metal. Ensure the reciprocating saw is switched off and disconnected from power before changing blades. Insert the blade into the saw’s holder until it locks, following the saw manufacturer's instructions for blade orientation and secure clamping. Set appropriate stroke speed and feed rate, and clamp the workpiece securely to prevent vibration. Make steady, controlled passes and allow the blade to cut at its own pace without forcing it.
For best results, match tooth count to material: use lower TPI (6–7 TPI) for fast ripping of wood, medium TPI (14 TPI) for general-purpose wood cutting, higher TPI (24 TPI and 18 TPI bimetal for thin metals) for cleaner cuts. Always wear eye and hearing protection, and replace blades that show wear, bending or missing teeth to maintain cutting quality and user safety.
