Manual sanding supply pack AWTools AW57456 — 5 pieces, total weight 484 g
Manual sanding supply pack AWTools AW57456 — 5 pieces, total weight 484 g
AWTools AW57456 — Manual sanding supply pack contains five sanding discs with a total weight of 484 g. Each disc features aluminum oxide (corundum) abrasive permanently bonded to a fabric backing for consistent cutting performance and long life. Discs use a Velcro (hook-and-loop) fastening system for fast, tool-free replacement and are produced with an 8‑hole pattern to match dust-extraction systems on many sanders. Designed for hand sanding and compatibility with air sanders and bench disc sanders that accept 125 mm backing pads, the pack is intended as replacement consumables for surface preparation, smoothing and finishing on a variety of materials.
The aluminum oxide abrasive provides balanced sharpness and durability suitable for general-purpose sanding. Permanently attached abrasive on fabric backing maintains its shape and resists tearing during use. Velcro fastening enables quick disc changes, reducing downtime when switching grits or replacing worn discs. The 8‑hole layout supports effective dust extraction when used with compatible sanders, improving visibility and reducing airborne dust during operation.
Select the appropriate grit disc for the material and stage of work, attach the disc to a 125 mm backing pad by pressing the Velcro surfaces together, and ensure the holes align with the sander's dust extraction ports. Start sanding at low to moderate pressure and move the sander in even passes across the surface to avoid gouging; increase pressure or change to a coarser or finer grit as needed. Replace discs when the abrasive surface is worn or loaded with material to maintain consistent performance.
For best results, use a dust extraction system or vacuum with the sander to match the 8‑hole pattern, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (dust mask, eye protection and hearing protection), and store unused discs flat in a dry environment away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.
