AWTOOLS AW80044 drain auger part & accessory is a steel extension designed to lengthen an auger drill bit for drain and pipe cleaning applications. With a depth of 600 mm and a compact weight of 600 g, this extension allows the auger to reach deeper or otherwise hard-to-access sections of piping. The product includes a set of screws for secure attachment to compatible auger bits and is manufactured by AWTools for use as an accessory to manual or powered drain augers.
The steel construction provides durability and resistance to bending during insertion into drains and tight fittings. At 600 mm length the extension improves reach without significantly increasing handling difficulty thanks to its relatively low weight. Included fastening screws simplify installation and ensure a stable connection with the existing auger bit, reducing play and improving control during use.
Inspect the auger bit and extension for damage before use. Match the extension to the auger bit connection and align the attachment points. Secure the extension using the supplied screws, tightening them evenly to prevent misalignment. Operate the auger according to the tool manufacturer's instructions, inserting the extended bit into the drain slowly and adjusting rotation and feed to navigate bends and obstructions. After use, remove the extension if required, clean and dry it, and store in a dry place to prevent corrosion.
Use protective gloves and eye protection when fitting or operating the extended auger bit. Verify compatibility with your auger model and avoid applying excessive lateral force that could cause bending. Regularly inspect threads and fasteners and replace damaged screws to maintain a secure connection.
