Concrete float AWTools AWBL25164 — hand float for smoothing concrete surfaces
AWTools AWBL25164 concrete float is a hand float designed for smoothing and finishing fresh concrete and similar fresh-applied materials. Made in Poland from an aluminium alloy with increased hardness and an H-shaped profile, the tool combines rigidity and manageable weight for manual finishing of slabs, steps and small repair areas. The built-in thumb groove improves grip and handling while the trapezoidal finish and double-sided plastic shock-absorbing end plugs support controlled smoothing and help protect edges during work. Length: 200 cm, height: 110 mm, weight: 2 kg.
The aluminium alloy construction with increased hardness and H-shaped profile provides dimensional stability and resistance to bending during normal finishing work. The built-in thumb groove enhances operator control and reduces hand fatigue by improving grip. The trapezoidal finish is designed to remove minor unevenness and produce a uniform surface texture, while double-sided plastic shock-absorbing end plugs reduce impact on edges and extend the tool’s usable life. Its 200 cm length enables working across moderate spans without frequent repositioning.
Use the AWTools concrete float after screeding and when the concrete has started to set but is still workable. Hold the tool by the thumb groove and apply even pressure while moving the float across the surface in overlapping passes to close pores and level small imperfections. For best results work systematically from one side to the other, maintaining a consistent angle and pressure. Clean the float after each use to remove residues and prevent buildup that could affect future performance.
For consistent finishing results, use the AWTools AWBL25164 on areas that have reached initial set but remain plastic. Avoid excessive force that could gouge the surface; instead make multiple light passes. Store the float in a dry place and protect the ends during transport to preserve the plastic plugs and the working edge.
