The AXAGON ADR-210 is an active USB 2.0 extension cable with a length of 10 m and USB Type A male-to-female connectors. The cable includes a compact repeater unit that strengthens the USB signal to allow connection of devices at distances well beyond the typical 5 m limit of passive cables. How to use

Connect the USB Type A male plug to the host (computer) and plug the remote USB device into the USB Type A female socket. The repeater will boost the signal automatically; no driver installation is required on supported operating systems. If the connected device requires more power than the USB bus can provide, connect an external 5 V power adapter to the auxiliary power socket on the active unit (AXAGON AC-5V2A recommended). Multiple repeater cables can be connected in series; use external power on one or more repeaters if the overall route requires additional power.

Usage recommendations

Use the external 5 V/1–2 A power adapter when connecting high-power devices (for example, some external 2.5" hard drives) or when chaining several repeater cables to ensure stable operation. Choose the recommended AXAGON AC-5V2A adapter for best compatibility.
