The Axagon ADR-210B is a 10 m active USB 2.0 A-M to B-M repeater cable designed to extend the connection between a computer and USB-B devices such as printers, scanners or plotters. The active repeater amplifies the USB signal to allow a reliable connection over a longer distance than passive cables, and the compact repeater housing and shielded cable ensure stable data transfer at USB 2.0 speeds.

Advantages

The integrated active repeater preserves signal integrity over 10 meters and the cable is fully backward compatible with USB 1.1. An auxiliary 5 V power input (3.5 x 1.3 mm) with supplied USB-A to 3.5 mm power lead enables additional power for devices with higher consumption. The compact housing, two status LEDs and full plug-and-play support simplify installation and use.

How to use

Plug the USB A-M connector into the host computer and the USB B-M connector into the remote device. If the connected device draws more than the USB bus can supply, connect the supplied USB-A to 3.5 mm power cable to a suitable 5 V USB-A charger (min. 1 A) and to the cable's 3.5 mm jack to provide auxiliary power. The LEDs on the active module indicate power and device connection status. No additional drivers are required for supported operating systems.

Usage recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid routing the cable next to strong sources of electromagnetic interference and, if further extension is required, connect a passive USB cable or additional active repeaters as recommended by the manufacturer.
