Active extension AXAGON ADR-310 is a USB 3.2 Gen 1 repeater cable 10 m long designed to connect a computer to USB devices such as mouse, keyboard, webcam, printer, scanner or similar peripherals. The active repeater amplifies the signal to allow connection of devices at significantly greater distances than a passive cable, and multiple cables can be connected in series to extend the range further. The cable supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 (formerly USB 3.0) data rates up to 5 Gbps, making it suitable for devices that require higher throughput, including backup systems and NAS storage.

Advantages

The ADR-310 includes an integrated auxiliary power input that enables external 5V supply when USB bus power is insufficient for higher-consumption devices. Its compact active module fits easily into cable ducts and power strips, and the shielded cable construction reduces interference while maintaining high communication speed. How to use

Connect the USB Type-A male end to your computer and the USB Type-A female end to the remote USB device. If connected device draws more power than the USB bus can provide, attach the included USB-A to Micro USB power cable to the auxiliary Micro USB socket on the active module and plug the other end into a USB-A power adapter (5V, minimum 1A). Multiple ADR-310 cables can be chained in series to reach longer distances; when using several repeaters, consider using external power to ensure sufficient supply for connected devices.

Recommendations

For reliable operation of power-hungry devices (for example external 2.5" drives) or long chains of repeaters, use an external USB-A 5V / ≥1A adapter to power the ADR-310 module. Use quality shielded cables and avoid tight bends or placing the active module in locations with high heat.
