The AXAGON ADS-1PSN active USB converter expands a computer with a standard RS-232 serial port using an original Prolific PL2303GT chip. The adapter has a fixed 1.5 m USB-A cable with gold-plated connectors and a durable, double-shielded body suitable for desktop and laptop use as well as industrial environments. It supports plug-and-play operation and powers from the USB bus, allowing connection of barcode readers, receipt printers, scanners, microcontroller programmers, CNC machines, modems and other RS-232 devices.
