The AXAGON PCEM2-1U internal adapter enables installation of an M.2 NVMe (PCI‑Express) SSD into a desktop computer or server via a PCI‑Express slot. Its ultra‑compact design (90 x 22 x 5 mm) fits systems without a dedicated M.2 slot, including 1U rack servers and low‑profile cases, and it works in x4, x8 and x16 PCIe slots.

Advantages

The adapter supports NVMe (PCI‑Express) M.2 SSDs in sizes up to 22 x 80 mm (2230, 2242, 2260, 2280) and accepts both M key and B+M key modules, one‑sided or double‑sided, with no imposed maximum capacity. It uses a PCI‑Express 3.0 x4 interface with up to 8 GB/s two‑way bandwidth, provides full plug‑and‑play operation without driver installation, and allows booting from the installed SSD. Thermal pads and coppered vents improve heat dissipation while an LED indicates connection and data transfer status.
