AXAGON RVD-VGN is an active DisplayPort to VGA adapter (0.16 m) designed to connect a computer or other device with a DisplayPort output to an older VGA monitor, TV or projector. The compact hardware converter carries a digital DP 1.1a signal to an analog D-Sub 15-pin VGA output and supports resolutions up to 1920x1200 at 60 Hz without driver installation.

Advantages

The adapter performs one-way conversion from DisplayPort (male) to VGA (female) using an internal converter chip, so no software or drivers are required. It draws power from the DisplayPort input, eliminating the need for an external power supply. How to use

Plug the DisplayPort (male) connector of the AXAGON RVD-VGN into the DisplayPort output of your computer or device. Connect a VGA cable from the adapter's D-Sub 15-pin (female) connector to the VGA input of the monitor, TV or projector. The adapter is plug-and-play; the conversion is hardware-based and should work immediately without installing drivers.
