Azurefilm FW171-1000 is a wood-fiber composite 3D printing filament designed for FDM/FFF printers that accept 1.75 mm filament. The spool contains 750 g of material in a Cork (wood tone) finish and is made in the EU from a blend of approximately 40% real wood fibers and 60% high-quality PLA resin. The material delivers wood-like appearance, texture and scent while maintaining extrusion and thermal properties similar to PLA, enabling decorative, prototyping and modelling prints with low warping and minimal stringing.

How to use

Load the 1.75 mm spool into an FDM/FFF printer that supports wooden composite PLA. Set the nozzle temperature to the recommended 200–210°C and the heated bed to around 60°C; adjust temperatures slightly if your printer setup or environmental conditions require it. Use standard print speeds for PLA, moderate retraction settings to reduce stringing, and consider a larger nozzle or slightly increased extrusion multiplier if printing with higher wood-fiber content. After printing, allow parts to cool gradually to reduce any minor warping and to stabilize surface finish.

Usage recommendations

For best results, store the filament vacuum-sealed with the included desiccant when not in use. Test small calibration prints to fine-tune temperature and retraction for your specific printer. Post-processing such as light sanding, staining, or oiling can enhance the wood-like appearance and tactile feel of printed parts.
