BAHCO 3830-50-VIP is a single 50 mm hole saw designed for use with a drill. Engineered as a Sandflex® bi-metal holesaw, it combines durability and cutting performance for general purpose hole cutting tasks in construction, installation and workshop environments. The cutter is suitable for creating cable entries, pipe penetrations and recessed fittings in a variety of base materials including metal, stainless steel, steel, plastic and wood.

How to use

Secure the holesaw onto a compatible arbor or drill chuck following the drill and arbor manufacturer instructions. Mark the centre of the intended hole and, if appropriate, drill a pilot hole to guide the saw. Use a steady feed rate and moderate drilling speed; apply cutting fluid when working with stainless steel or hardened metals to reduce heat and prolong tool life. Maintain firm control of the drill to ensure a straight cut and clear chips from the cutting zone periodically to avoid jamming.

Usage recommendations

For best results when cutting stainless steel or thicker metal sheets, use cutting fluid and operate at lower speeds. When cutting wood or plastic, a higher speed is acceptable but monitor for melting in plastics and adjust feed rate accordingly. Inspect the teeth before use and replace the holesaw if excessive wear or damage is visible to maintain clean cuts and safe operation.
