Bahco 3853-41-1.3-4/6 hacksaw blade is a precision replacement blade designed for cutting structural steel, tubes and profiles. With a blade width of 1.27 mm and high speed steel (HSS) tooth material, this blade offers a balance of hardness and toughness for extended tool life. The blade features a PF tooth shape and a specially optimized tooth design that reduce vibration, pinching and out-of-square cutting, making it suitable for straight and mitre cuts.
The HSS tooth material and improved high-speed steel tooth edge provide higher hardness combined with enhanced toughness, resulting in longer blade life. The PF tooth shape and double set reduce tooth stripping and broken blades while improving cutting stability. The blade’s tooth geometry and available 5/8 TPI make it effective on thin-walled and single work pieces, bundles and for angle cutting. Overall, the design delivers consistent cutting performance and reduced risk of jamming or premature wear.
Fit the Bahco 3853-41-1.3-4/6 hacksaw blade into a compatible hacksaw frame according to the frame manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring correct blade orientation so the teeth cut on the stroke direction required. Secure the blade under appropriate tension to minimize wobble. Use steady, even strokes and moderate feed pressure; allow the HSS teeth to perform the cutting rather than forcing the blade. For mitre cuts, support the workpiece firmly and position the blade to maintain the intended angle. Replace the blade when cutting performance decreases or teeth show visible wear.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment, clamp the workpiece securely, and select the 5/8 TPI option for thin-walled or bundled work. For heavy structural sections consider blades with a wide set to reduce pinching. Store blades dry and protected to avoid corrosion and inspect teeth before use.
