Adjustable spanner Bahco 8070 C
Bahco 8070 C adjustable spanner with chrome-plated finish is a compact hand tool designed for precise adjustment and reliable performance. It conforms to international standards including ISO 6787, DIN 3117 form, ASME B107.8M - 1996 and BS 6333. Constructed from high-performance alloy steel with a millimetre scale on the jaw for pre-adjusting and accurate measurement, this 155 mm spanner weighs 132 g and has a maximum jaw width of 20 mm, making it suitable for light to medium fastening tasks.
The chrome plating provides corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning while the high-performance alloy steel construction ensures durability. The integrated millimetre scale allows quick pre-adjustment and precise setting of the jaw width. Compact length and low weight improve handling in confined spaces and reduce user fatigue during repetitive work.
Open the adjustable jaw to slightly exceed the fastener size, position the spanner so the fixed jaw bears against one flat of the nut or bolt, then tighten the movable jaw until it fits snugly. Apply torque with the handle aligned to avoid slipping. Use the millimetre scale on the jaw to pre-set the opening when repeating the same fastener size to speed up work. After use, wipe the tool clean and store in a dry place to preserve the chrome finish.
Use the Bahco 8070 C within its maximum jaw capacity (20 mm) and avoid applying excessive force or using the wrench as a hammer. For stubborn or corroded fasteners, use a suitable penetrating agent and recheck the fit before applying torque. Regularly inspect the adjusting mechanism for wear and keep the tool clean and lightly lubricated for reliable operation.
