Adjustable spanner Bahco 8072
The BAHCO 8072 adjustable spanner is a 255 mm long, single-piece forged alloy steel wrench designed for accurate and durable performance. With a jaw width of 31 mm and a weight of 400 g, it combines a slim, accessible head with high strength and corrosion-treated finish. The tool meets international standards ISO 6787, DIN 3117, ASME B107.8-2003 and BS 6333 and is supplied in an industrial pack.
The jaw stays secure even at maximum opening, while parallel jaws set at a 15° angle provide a firm grip and improved reach. A laser scale in millimetres allows pre-adjusting and precise measurement. The wide handle improves comfort during use and accurate jaw movement ensures consistent clamping. Precision hardening and phosphate anti-corrosion treatment increase ultimate strength and service life.
Open the adjustable jaw using the left-turning screw, set the jaw to the approximate size using the laser scale in millimetres, then place the wrench on the nut or bolt and tighten the screw to achieve a firm grip. Ensure the parallel jaws at the 15° angle are seated properly on the fastener before applying torque. Use steady pressure and avoid sudden shocks to the tool to maintain accuracy and prevent damage.
For best results, keep the tool clean and lightly lubricate the adjustment screw occasionally. Inspect the jaws for wear before use and select the correct jaw opening using the laser scale to minimise slippage and damage to fasteners.
