BAHCO SB142.002.100 Insulated Pozidriv Screwdriver PZ2 x 100 mm
The BAHCO SB142.002.100 Insulated Pozidriv Screwdriver is a professional-grade hand tool engineered for precision and safety in electrical environments. Featuring a PZ2 tip and a 100 mm blade, this screwdriver is specifically designed to meet the rigorous demands of electricians and technicians working on live equipment. The tool combines high-performance alloy steel with advanced insulation technology to ensure both durability and operator protection.
This screwdriver offers exceptional safety, as it is individually tested in a water bath at 10000 V and certified for work on live equipment up to 1000 V. The blade insulation is moulded directly onto the shaft, providing a seamless and secure barrier. The two-component handle, composed of over 75% rubber, features vertical anti-slip grooves that ensure maximum grip and comfort during high-torque applications. Additionally, the phosphate finish on the tip enhances accuracy and prevents cam-out, while the clear markings on the handle allow for rapid identification of the screw type and size.
This tool is not intended for use with Phillips head screws, as the Pozidriv profile is specifically shaped for compatible fasteners and may cause damage if used incorrectly. It is also not suitable for heavy-duty prying or chiseling tasks, as the precision-engineered tip is designed exclusively for fastening.
To use the screwdriver, ensure the power supply is disconnected whenever possible, despite the tool's insulation rating. Align the PZ2 tip carefully with the screw head to ensure a snug fit. Apply steady downward pressure while turning the handle to drive or loosen the fastener. The large soft-grip zone on the handle allows for efficient torque transfer, reducing hand fatigue during repetitive tasks. Always inspect the insulation for any signs of damage or wear before each use.
Always store the screwdriver in a dry place and perform a visual inspection of the insulation before every use to ensure there are no cracks or abrasions that could compromise safety.
