Baks PGM8/2 is an 8 mm diameter, 2000 mm long galvanized steel threaded rod designed for mechanical fastening and construction use. The continuous thread along the full length provides versatile connection options for structural assemblies, mounting fixtures and repair works. The zinc-based galvanised coating gives basic corrosion resistance suitable for indoor and sheltered outdoor applications where a durable, long fastener is needed.
The solid steel construction ensures consistent tensile strength and dimensional stability. Continuous threading along the entire 2000 mm length allows nuts and couplers to be positioned anywhere on the bar for flexible adjustments. Galvanised surface treatment increases resistance to rust and extends service life in non-aggressive environments. The uniform 8 mm diameter simplifies selection of compatible nuts, washers and couplers.
Select compatible 8 mm nuts, washers and couplers appropriate to the load and environment. Cut the bar to the required length using a suitable metal cutting tool and deburr the cut end before use. Install the bar through the components to be joined, secure with nuts and washers on one or both ends as needed, and tighten to the required torque. For anchoring or through-bolting, use appropriate expansion or bonded anchors at the substrate interface.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment when cutting or threading the bar. For outdoor exposed or highly corrosive environments consider additional corrosion protection or stainless alternatives.
