Filament BambuLab PLA Glow 1.75 mm 1 kg with reusable spool — Glow Green
Glow Green BambuLab PLA Glow filament is a 1.75 mm biodegradable PLA designed for FDM/FFF 3D printing where a photoluminescent effect is required. Supplied as a 1 kg spool with a reusable reel, this filament prints with standard PLA profiles and is compatible with BambuLab printers as well as other machines using 1.75 mm extruders. After exposure to light, printed parts store and emit a visible glow useful for decorative elements, toys, cosplay accessories and model detailing.
This PLA Glow material combines the ease of printing associated with standard PLA and a photoluminescent pigment that charges under ambient or direct light to produce a lasting glow-in-the-dark effect. The 1.75 mm diameter ensures consistent extrusion with common hot ends, while the included reusable spool supports tidy storage and reduced waste. The filament’s biodegradable composition simplifies material disposal compared with many petroleum-based alternatives.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into any compatible extruder and start with standard PLA print settings: typical nozzle temperatures and print bed temperatures used for PLA are suitable. Ensure the filament is dry before printing for consistent extrusion and surface quality; if moisture is suspected, dry according to standard PLA drying procedures. Expose printed parts to a light source to charge the photoluminescent pigment; longer or more intense exposure increases the initial brightness and duration of the glow.
For best glow performance, print with solid infill or thicker outer walls in areas intended to glow, as increased material volume stores more photoluminescent charge. Avoid high nozzle temperatures beyond recommended PLA ranges to preserve the additive’s properties, and store the spool in a dry, dark place to maintain filament quality when not in use.
