Filament BambuLab Refill PLA Matte 1.75 mm 1 kg – Scarlet Red
BambuLab Refill PLA Matte 1.75 mm 1 kg – Scarlet Red is a 1 kg spool of PLA thermoplastic filament with a matte finish and nominal diameter of 1.75 mm designed for FDM/FFF 3D printers that accept PLA. The matte formulation reduces surface gloss and produces a fine, low-reflective texture that helps hide layer lines and gives printed parts an even visual appearance. The filament is supplied on a standard spool and is suitable for visual prototypes, decorative pieces, household components and general-purpose prints where a non-glossy finish is preferred.
The matte PLA offers consistent diameter tolerance and smooth feeding for stable extrusion when used with printers calibrated for 1.75 mm filament. Its reduced surface shine improves the look of visible surfaces without secondary finishing, and the Scarlet Red color provides strong, uniform coloration for models and parts. Being PLA-based, the material is easy to print at common PLA temperatures and is compatible with a wide range of standard print settings.
This PLA matte filament is not intended for high-temperature or mechanically demanding applications; it is a standard PLA formulation and has the typical thermal and mechanical limits of PLA. Parts that require high impact resistance, prolonged outdoor exposure at elevated temperatures, or significant structural load should use engineered materials or reinforced filaments designed for those conditions.
Load the filament on a 3D printer that supports 1.75 mm PLA. Use standard PLA print temperatures (typical nozzle range 190–220 °C; bed 0–60 °C depending on adhesion method) and calibrate extrusion multiplier and filament diameter in slicer software for accurate flow. Print at moderate speeds, monitor first-layer adhesion, and adjust cooling to improve matte surface quality. Store unused filament in a dry, cool environment or sealed container with desiccant to maintain printing performance.
For best results, calibrate your filament diameter in the slicer, use a moderate cooling fan to preserve the matte effect, and test a small sample print to verify color and surface appearance before committing to large or detailed prints.
