BambuLab Refill PLA Basic 1.75 mm 1 kg in Silver is a general-purpose PLA filament formulated for FDM/FFF 3D printers that accept 1.75 mm filament. The spool contains 1 kilogram of silver-coloured polylactic acid material with standard PLA characteristics: low warping, good layer adhesion and easy printing with common slicer settings. This filament is suitable for printing prototypes, visual models and everyday functional parts where the aesthetic of a metallic silver finish is desired.
This PLA offers reliable dimensional stability and predictable extrusion behavior under typical PLA print settings. It prints well on both heated and unheated build plates when bed preparation is appropriate. The silver colour provides consistent surface appearance and good visual contrast for painted or post-processed parts. The filament is wound on a stable spool to minimise tangles and provide continuous feeding during long prints.
Load the filament into any FDM/FFF 3D printer configured for 1.75 mm filament. Use typical PLA print temperatures and cooling settings according to your printer and nozzle; common starting temperatures are in the mid-190s to low-210s °C for the nozzle and a non-heated or mildly heated bed (50–60 °C) if required by the build. Ensure the spool can rotate freely and that the filament path is unobstructed. Adjust retraction and cooling in the slicer to reduce stringing and improve surface quality for detailed prints.
Store the filament in a dry environment, ideally sealed with desiccant to prevent moisture uptake. If the filament absorbs moisture, dry it according to manufacturer guidelines before printing. For parts requiring higher strength or heat resistance, consider alternative materials; for standard prototyping and aesthetic parts, this PLA is suitable when printed with recommended settings.
