Cylindrical Punch Beta Tools BE31-4 — 4 mm
The Beta Tools BE31-4 cylindrical punch has a 4 mm diameter tip designed for controlled driving out of pins, bolts or rivets and for making precise alignment marks. Constructed with a hardened steel working end and a shaped shank, this professional-grade hand tool transfers impact energy accurately while resisting deformation. The compact tip size makes the punch suitable for fine mechanical work, tight assemblies and routine maintenance tasks where accurate positioning is required.
The hardened steel tip provides high wear resistance and maintains a consistent striking surface for repeated use. The shank and body are dimensioned for good handling and stable impact delivery, reducing the chance of tool slip. The 4 mm diameter concentrates force for clean, precise punches and helps avoid damage to surrounding material. The tool’s geometry supports accurate mark placement and controlled extraction of small pins, bolts or rivets.
Position the 4 mm tip against the pin, bolt head or location to be marked. Hold the punch perpendicular to the workpiece to ensure straight impact transfer. Deliver controlled blows with a suitable hammer, increasing force as needed while checking alignment. For pin removal, support the surrounding component to prevent bending or additional strain. After use, inspect the tip for wear and dress or replace the tool if deformation affects accuracy.
Use eye protection and follow standard workshop safety procedures when striking the punch. Select a hammer weight appropriate to the task to avoid overloading the tool or the workpiece. Avoid using the punch on hardened fasteners or where the tip could chip; use the tool only for its intended manual punching and marking purposes.
