Tap wrench (for taps) Bituxx JBC-TS1 — size M1–M10, blister pack
The Bituxx JBC-TS1 tap wrench is a compact hand tool designed to hold and turn machine or hand taps in sizes M1 to M10. Supplied in a blister pack, this tap wrench offers a secure clamping mechanism and a low-profile body suitable for working in confined spaces. It is intended for precision tapping in small-diameter metalworking, repair tasks, electronics assembly and hobby applications where controlled rotation and accurate alignment of taps are required.
The wrench features a reliable chuck-style clamping system that accommodates a range of tap shank diameters within the specified size range, providing steady grip during cutting. Its compact form factor enables access to tight work areas and improves control for delicate operations. The metal construction ensures sufficient strength for light mechanical and repair jobs while remaining easy to handle for prolonged use.
Select a tap within the M1–M10 range and insert its square or round shank into the wrench's clamping jaws. Tighten the chuck or clamping mechanism until the tap is held firmly and aligned with the wrench axis. Position the tap at the start of the hole, apply steady axial pressure and rotate the wrench clockwise to cut the thread, using intermittent reverse turns to break chips if necessary. Keep the tap perpendicular to the workpiece and clear chips regularly to avoid binding. After completing the thread, reverse the rotation to remove the tap and clean the tool before storage.
Use cutting fluid appropriate for the workpiece material to extend tap life and improve thread quality. For fragile or thin materials, proceed with minimal pressure and frequent chip removal. Inspect taps for wear before use and avoid applying excessive torque beyond the capacity of the tap size and hand tool.
