Circular Saw Bosch GKS 18V-57-2 L PROFESSIONAL 16.5 cm Brushless 5000 RPM

The Bosch GKS 18V-57-2 L PROFESSIONAL is a cordless circular saw designed for efficient wood cutting in mobile and workshop environments. Equipped with a 16.5 cm cutting blade and a brushless motor, the saw delivers up to 5000 RPM at no load and achieves a maximum cutting depth of 5.7 cm at a 90° angle. Powered by an 18 V battery and weighing approximately 2.8 kg, the tool balances cutting performance with portability for trade professionals and experienced DIY users.

Advantages

The brushless motor improves efficiency and reduces maintenance compared with brushed alternatives, while the compact 16.5 cm blade offers a blend of maneuverability and cutting capacity. A high idle speed of 5000 RPM enables clean, fast cuts in soft and hardwoods. At around 2.8 kg, the saw is lightweight for one-handed guidance and reduced user fatigue during extended use. Battery power removes the need for a cable, enabling flexible positioning on jobsites or remote locations.

Suitable for

• Crosscuts and rip cuts in dimensional lumber and sheet materials
• On-site framing and carpentry work where mobility is required
• Finish and rough cutting tasks in softwood and hardwood
• Workshops or renovation projects where cordless operation is preferred

How to use

Install a compatible 16.5 cm blade and ensure it is secured according to the manufacturer's instructions. Fit a charged 18 V battery and check that the saw's safety features operate correctly before starting. Mark the cutting line on the workpiece, align the blade guard and base plate, and start the saw to reach full speed before engaging the material. Maintain a steady feed rate appropriate to the material and blade condition, and allow the blade to stop completely before setting the tool down. Follow routine blade inspection and replacement intervals based on cutting performance.

Usage recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection, hearing protection and gloves. For accurate results, clamp small workpieces and guide the saw with a straight edge or track when required. Match blade type and tooth count to the material for cleaner cuts and longer blade life.
