Drill bit Bosch SDS plus-3 4 mm for rotary hammer, 1 pc
Bosch SDS plus-3 4 mm drill bit for rotary hammer is designed for drilling precise holes in concrete, masonry and stone. The 4 mm diameter bit fits SDS-plus chucks and is supplied as a single piece. Manufactured from high-alloy steel with optimised hardening and Bosch-controlled carbide cutting edges, the drill bit is intended for light-duty anchor and fastening tasks in construction and renovation where compact, accurate holes and reliable hold of fixings are required.
The drill bit combines high-alloy steel body and indented carbide cutting edges to resist wear during repeated impact drilling. Optimised hardening technology ensures dimensional stability and straightness, delivering holes with tight tolerances for a firm hold of anchors and fixings. The SDS plus-3 design provides compatibility with SDS-plus rotary hammer chucks for secure seating and straightforward bit changes.
Select an SDS-plus rotary hammer and fit the 4 mm SDS plus-3 drill bit into the chuck according to the tool manufacturer’s instructions. Mark the drilling point, set the rotary hammer to the hammer drilling mode, and start drilling with moderate pressure to allow the carbide tip to cut efficiently. Periodically withdraw the bit to remove dust and prevent clogging; for deep holes, repeat this clearing action until the required depth is reached. Ensure the drill speed and impact settings are suitable for the base material.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection and dust mask) when drilling. For best results and longer tool life, avoid excessive lateral force and keep the bit cool by clearing dust often; replace the bit if wear impairs cutting performance. Confirm compatibility with your rotary hammer’s SDS-plus system before use.
