Bosch SDS plus-3 Drill Bit 1.2 cm is a masonry drill bit designed for use with rotary hammers that accept SDS plus shanks. The bit is intended for drilling in concrete and masonry and is supplied as a single piece. It combines a high-alloy steel body with a Bosch-controlled carbide cutting tip to ensure durability and precise drilling performance.
The high-alloy steel produced with optimised hardening technology increases wear resistance during intensive drilling. Indented cutting edges made from a Bosch-controlled carbide blend provide additional resistance and maintain cutting performance. The bit carries the PGM Masonry Drill Bit Association test mark, confirming tight manufacturing tolerances, accurate hole dimensions and a secure hold of fixings.
Insert the SDS plus shank of the drill bit into the rotary hammer's chuck until it locks. Select rotary hammer mode suitable for hammer drilling in concrete or masonry. Apply steady pressure and start drilling at low speed to position the bit, then increase speed as appropriate. Withdraw the bit periodically to clear dust and reduce heat build-up. After drilling, clean the hole before installing anchors or fixings.
Use the Bosch SDS plus-3 drill bit for hammer drilling tasks in concrete and masonry. Match the drill bit diameter to the required fixing or anchor size and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and hearing protection. For best results, use with a compatible SDS plus rotary hammer and allow the bit to cool between prolonged drilling sessions.
