Sanding pad Bosch 2 609 256 B61
The Bosch 2 609 256 B61 sanding pad is a replacement interface pad developed for use with compatible Bosch random orbital and detail sanders. Constructed from durable materials, the pad provides a resilient yet flexible backing that holds abrasive discs securely while allowing consistent contact with the work surface. Its design promotes even sanding across wood, painted surfaces, fillers and other common substrates, helping to produce a smooth, uniform finish during both professional and DIY tasks.
The pad’s robust construction resists wear from repeated attachment and removal of abrasive discs, extending service life and reducing downtime for replacements. A stable hook-and-loop surface ensures reliable grip of sanding discs and quick changeovers. The flexible backing conforms to slightly contoured surfaces to maintain contact and minimize swirl marks or uneven abrasion. Compatibility with Bosch sanders preserves tool performance and user control during extended sanding operations.
Ensure the sander is switched off and disconnected from power before installing the pad. Align the pad with the sander’s backing plate and press firmly until the hook-and-loop fastening engages evenly across the surface. Fit the appropriate abrasive disc to the pad by matching the disc’s loop side to the pad’s hook surface. Start sanding with light pressure and progress to the required grit or pressure for the task; allow the tool and abrasive to do the work to avoid premature pad wear. After use, remove the abrasive disc and inspect the pad for damage or contamination, replacing it when the backing shows significant wear or loss of adhesion.
To maximize pad life and maintain sanding quality, use clean, dry abrasive discs and avoid excessive side loading or high lateral pressure. Match the abrasive grit to the work stage—coarse grits for material removal, medium for general smoothing, and fine grits for finishing. Store the pad flat in a dry environment and replace it if the hook-and-loop fastening no longer retains discs securely or if the backing becomes compressed or torn.
