Ceramic hob Bosch Serie 2 PKE645CA2E 60 cm Built-in, 4 zones, Black/Stainless steel, Touch control
The Bosch Serie 2 PKE645CA2E is a 60 cm built-in ceramic hob with a black glass-ceramic surface framed in stainless steel. It provides four cooking zones with touch controls located at the front edge, an electronic clock, residual heat indicators and a child lock. Designed for standard home kitchens, the hob has a compact installation footprint of 583×513×48 mm and requires an installation compartment width of 560 mm. The connected load is 6600 W (220–240 V, 50 Hz), and the unit meets CE and VDE safety certifications.
The ceramic surface offers easy cleaning and a uniform, flat work area suited to flat-bottomed cookware. Touch controls at the front allow precise and immediate adjustment of heat levels without knobs, while residual heat indicators improve safety by showing which zones remain hot after cooking. The stainless steel trim adds durability at the installation edge and integrates with a range of kitchen styles. Certified safety standards and built-in child lock contribute to safer household use.
This ceramic hob is not suitable for kitchens that require induction cooking, as it relies on radiant ceramic heating and does not offer induction efficiency or magnetic cookware compatibility. It may not meet needs for very fast heating or high-precision simmering compared with induction models. The integrated format requires a compatible cut-out and dedicated electrical connection to support the 6600 W load.
Place compatible, flat-bottomed cookware on the selected cooking zone. Activate the hob using the touch control panel at the front, select the desired zone and adjust the heat level with the touch sliders or buttons. Use the electronic clock and timer functions to monitor cooking times. After cooking, switch off the zone and observe the residual heat indicator until it shows the surface has cooled. Engage the child lock to prevent accidental changes to settings or activation when the hob is not in use. Follow the manufacturer's installation and electrical connection instructions to ensure safe operation.
Use soft cleaning tools and non-abrasive ceramic hob cleaners once the surface has cooled. When moving cookware, lift rather than slide to protect the glass-ceramic surface and the stainless steel frame. Use the child lock during cleaning or when small children are present, and rely on the residual heat indicators to avoid burns from recently used zones.
