USB Type-A to Type-B cable Brackton 5 m, USB 3.0 speed up to 5 Gbps
USB Type-A to Type-B cable Brackton 5 m, USB 3.0 speed up to 5 Gbps
Brackton USB Type-A to Type-B cable, 5 m length, supports USB 3.0 transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps and is designed to connect devices with a USB-B port to computers or hubs with a standard Type-A port. This single-ended cable features a male USB Type-A connector and a male USB Type-B connector, suitable for printers, scanners, external drives and other peripherals that use the USB-B interface. The 5 m lead provides extended reach for desktop setups and office environments while maintaining high-speed data transfer capability.
This Brackton cable combines the USB 3.0 data throughput of up to 5 Gbps with a durable construction that is intended for frequent plug/unplug cycles and longer cable runs. The cable's connectors conform to standard Type-A and Type-B form factors to ensure compatibility with a wide range of devices. The 5 metre length reduces the need for extension adapters and offers flexibility when positioning equipment further from the host computer.
Plug the USB Type-A connector into an available Type-A host port on your computer or hub and insert the USB Type-B connector into the corresponding port on your printer, scanner or external drive. Ensure connectors are aligned and insert straight to avoid damaging the ports. For optimal performance, use USB 3.0 host ports on the computer and connect directly without passive extensions; the cable supports automatic negotiation to lower-speed modes when connected to USB 2.0 or 1.1 hosts.
Place connected devices on stable surfaces and avoid tight bends near the connectors. For sustained high-speed transfers, connect both ends firmly and, where possible, use a computer USB 3.0 port to achieve the advertised 5 Gbps rate. Keep the cable away from high-interference sources such as large transformers or strong wireless transmitters to minimise potential signal degradation.
