Self-laminating vinyl wrap Brady M7-19-427, 4 mil thickness, for durable label protection
Self-laminating vinyl wrap Brady M7-19-427, 4 mil thickness, is a clear overlaminate designed to be applied directly over printed labels and identification markers to extend their service life. The film adheres over existing printed surfaces without requiring a separate adhesive backing, creating a protective layer that resists abrasion, moisture and general wear. This product is intended for industrial labeling and asset identification tasks where protecting print legibility and durability is important.
The self-laminating vinyl wrap offers a thin but durable 4 mil protective layer that maintains print clarity while adding resistance to scuffs and light chemical exposure. Its self-laminating application simplifies installation over pre-printed labels, eliminating the need for a separate laminate applicator or adhesive film. The clear film conforms to surfaces and helps prevent premature fading and damage from handling and environmental factors.
Ensure the printed label surface is clean, dry and free of dust, oil or other contaminants before application. Align the self-laminating film over the printed label and press from the center outward to remove air pockets, smoothing the film until it fully adheres to the label edges. Trim any excess film as needed. Allow a short dwell time for the film to set if used in colder conditions.
For best results, apply the self-laminating vinyl at room temperature and on flat or gently curved surfaces. Avoid using on surfaces with heavy oils or loose paint. Regularly inspect protected labels in high-wear locations and replace the overlaminate if it becomes excessively scratched or delaminated.
