Air-sampling detector Brennenstuhl 1294300
The Brennenstuhl 1294300 is a wireless air-sampling smoke detector designed for domestic and small-commercial spaces. It uses optical sensing to detect smoke particles drawn into the sensing chamber and communicates wirelessly with compatible alarm systems within a specified maximum range. The device features a compact round housing with a diameter of 12 cm and a low profile of 28 mm, and it is powered by readily available alkaline AA batteries. Lightweight and unobtrusive, the detector is intended to provide reliable early warning of smoke while being straightforward to install and maintain.
The detector's wireless operation removes the need for hardwiring, simplifying placement and retrofit installation. Its air-sampling design enables continuous monitoring of the air near the unit for increased responsiveness to rising smoke levels. Compact dimensions and light weight make the unit easy to mount on ceilings or walls without specialized supports. Battery operation ensures function even where mains power is unavailable, and the use of standard AA alkaline cells allows for quick replacement.
Choose a location on the ceiling or high on a wall away from drafts, vents and direct cooking sources to reduce false alarms. Install the mounting bracket according to the included instructions, insert fresh AA alkaline batteries observing polarity, and attach the detector to the bracket until it locks. If integrating with a compatible wireless alarm system, follow the system pairing procedure to register the device. Periodically test the detector using the test function specified by the manufacturer and replace batteries when the low-battery signal is indicated.
Place the unit in central areas of sleeping rooms and living spaces for optimal early detection; avoid locating directly above stoves, heaters or windows. Perform monthly functional tests and replace batteries at intervals recommended by the manufacturer or when the low-battery alert sounds. Keep the sensing inlet free from dust and paint; clean the exterior with a soft dry cloth and consult the manual for any specific maintenance instructions.
