Brother Gloss Laminated Labelling Tape is a gloss-finish TZ tape designed for durable, professional-looking labels. The tape produces black text on a blue background, with a width of 18 mm and a usable length of 8 m. Its laminated surface increases resistance to abrasion, moisture and general wear, making it suitable for indoor and many light-duty outdoor applications. The tape is compatible with a range of Brother PT label printers specified for TZ cartridges; it is not compatible with the PT-1250LB model.
The laminated gloss surface protects printed text from scratching and fading, helping labels remain legible over time. Thermal transfer printing delivers sharp, high-contrast black-on-blue text that is easy to read. The 18 mm width balances space for information with compact label size, while the 8 m length provides multiple labels per cartridge. The tape is part of Brother’s patented TZ range, engineered for improved durability compared with unlaminated alternatives.
Install the Brother TZ cartridge into a compatible Brother PT label printer following the printer manufacturer’s mounting instructions. Design your label content using the printer’s interface or connected software, select the 18 mm tape width and thermal transfer print settings, then print. After printing, cut the label to the required length and apply it to a clean, dry surface, pressing firmly to ensure adhesion. Avoid applying labels to dusty, oily or wet surfaces for best adhesion.
For longest-lasting results, apply labels to smooth, non-porous surfaces at room temperature. Store unused cartridges in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Do not use this tape with the PT-1250LB model. For heavy outdoor exposure or extreme chemical contact, consider specialised industrial labels.
