Ultraviolet (UV) camera filter B+W 010 MASTER 67 mm
Ultraviolet (UV) camera filter B+W 010 MASTER 67 mm
The B+W 010 MASTER Ultraviolet (UV) camera filter, 67 mm, is designed to reduce the amount of ultraviolet light reaching the camera sensor, which helps to minimize atmospheric haze and improve image clarity in outdoor photography. Manufactured with high-quality optical glass and a precise thread size, this 67 mm UV filter integrates with standard lens systems to provide subtle correction without affecting visible light transmission or color balance. The included Multi Resistant Coating (MRC) enhances surface durability and reduces unwanted reflections for cleaner results.
The B+W 010 MASTER UV filter provides haze reduction and improved contrast while maintaining natural color reproduction. Its Multi Resistant Coating (MRC) offers increased scratch resistance and easier cleaning by repelling dust, water and fingerprints, and the slim profile helps to avoid vignetting on wide-angle lenses. The filter is single-piece and lightweight, allowing permanent or occasional attachment to a lens without significant change to handling.
Screw the 67 mm UV filter gently into the front thread of a compatible lens until it is secure; avoid overtightening. Use the filter attached during outdoor shooting to reduce UV-induced haze and to protect the front element from dust and minor abrasion. When cleaning, use a soft blower or microfibre cloth and a lens-cleaning solution suitable for coated glass to preserve the MRC surface. Remove the filter when using specialized lenses or accessories that require an unobstructed front element.
Attach the filter prior to outdoor sessions for continuous protection and to reduce UV haze. For best results, keep the coated surfaces clean and store the filter in a protective case when not in use. When combining with other filters or lens hoods, check for vignetting on wide-angle lenses and use step-up or step-down rings only if optical compatibility is confirmed.
