B&W Cases Type 1000 Hard case Yellow
B&W Cases Type 1000 Hard case Yellow is a robust protective case designed for secure transport and storage of sensitive equipment. The shell is made of polypropylene and the case is dustproof and watertight, providing environmental protection for contents. It includes an automatic air pressure compensation valve, a transparent name plate, two latches and a padded handle. The case performs over a wide temperature range from -40° up to +80° C and is built to be very sturdy and stackable. A 30 years guarantee is offered by the manufacturer.
The polypropylene shell delivers high impact resistance while keeping weight relatively low compared with metal alternatives. The automatic air pressure compensation valve equalises internal and external pressure when flying or changing altitude, reducing stress on seals. Dustproof and watertight construction protects electronics and delicate instruments from moisture and particulates. The transparent name plate allows clear identification of contents without opening the case, and the padded handle improves carrying comfort.
Place items inside the open case and secure them with suitable foam inserts or padding to prevent movement. Close the lid and fasten both latches until they click to ensure the watertight seal engages. When travelling by air or changing altitude, allow the automatic air pressure compensation valve to equalise pressure naturally; do not attempt to force the valve open. Use the padded handle for carrying, or fit an optional carrying strap for hands-free transport.
For optimal protection, use custom-cut foam inserts to immobilise contents and avoid overloading the case beyond its designed capacity. Clean the lid seal regularly and inspect latches and the compensation valve before critical transport operations. Consider optional accessories such as a carrying strap, lid pocket or panel frame for enhanced functionality.
