B&W Cases 2703 accessory foam insert for protective case — model SI/3000
The B&W Cases 2703 accessory foam insert for protective case — model SI/3000 is a removable, pre-cut interior insert designed to fit the 2703 protective case. It provides cushioning and organization for cameras, lenses, electronics and small accessories. The insert features removable foam blocks for precision customization of compartments and an egg crate foam layer in the lid to improve shock resistance and prevent movement during transport.
The foam insert offers adaptable protection through pre-cut, removable foam blocks that allow precise tailoring of internal compartments without the need for cutting tools. The egg crate foam in the lid increases impact absorption and helps maintain even pressure distribution across stored items. Made in black foam and supplied as a multi-piece set, the insert improves packing stability and reduces internal movement of equipment during handling and transit.
Place the foam insert into the empty interior of the compatible protective case so the egg crate foam aligns with the lid. Remove the pre-cut foam blocks to create compartments sized to the equipment you intend to carry, fitting cameras, lenses or accessories snugly to minimize movement. Reposition foam pieces as needed to accommodate different gear configurations and replace the lid, ensuring items are held securely before closing the case.
For optimal protection, fit each item with minimal free space around it and avoid forcing oversized objects into the compartments. Periodically inspect foam for wear or compression and replace the insert when it no longer provides adequate cushioning. Keep foam dry and clean; if necessary, wipe with a damp cloth and allow to air dry before storing sensitive equipment.
