c-tech PETG 1.75 mm 1 kg filament spool — ESSENTIAL LINE for 3D printing
c-tech PETG 1.75 mm 1 kg filament spool from the ESSENTIAL LINE is a ready-to-use thermoplastic filament for FDM/FFF 3D printers. With a 1.75 mm diameter and a 1 kg spool, this PETG material is formulated to deliver a balance of tensile strength and flexibility, along with reliable layer adhesion and enhanced resistance to common chemicals. The spool format supports stable filament feeding and convenient storage for workshop and home environments.
PETG combines mechanical durability with moderate flexibility, reducing the risk of brittle failure compared to some rigid materials. The filament provides good interlayer bonding for functional parts and prototypes, resists moisture-related degradation better than standard PLA, and offers improved chemical resistance for applications exposed to oils or mild solvents. The 1.75 mm diameter is compatible with the majority of consumer FDM/FFF printers and the 1 kg spool size is suitable for small to medium runs without frequent spool changes.
Load the filament onto a compatible 1.75 mm feed path and preheat the printer nozzle and build plate according to PETG settings. Typical nozzle temperatures for PETG range higher than PLA; set appropriate extrusion temperature, printing speed, and cooling to achieve optimal layer adhesion and surface finish. Ensure the first layer is well calibrated for bed adhesion; use a suitable build surface or adhesive aide if necessary. Store the spool in a dry environment or sealed container with desiccant when not in use to maintain filament quality.
For best results, print PETG with a moderately heated bed, reduced cooling fan speed, and slightly slower print speeds compared to PLA. Use retraction settings tuned to your specific hotend to prevent stringing, and allow printed parts to cool gradually for improved strength. Keep the spool dry and avoid prolonged exposure to high humidity.
