3D printing filament c-tech ESSENTIAL LINE PLA 1.75 mm 1 kg green refill
c-tech ESSENTIAL LINE PLA 1.75 mm 1 kg green refill is a bio-based polylactic acid filament designed for FDM 3D printers. The filament comes on a refill spool with consistent 1.75 mm diameter and is formulated to deliver easy extrusion, low shrinkage and good dimensional accuracy. It is intended for general-purpose printing tasks such as prototypes, hobby models, household items and educational projects where predictable, straightforward material behaviour is required.
The filament offers reliable feeding and consistent layer deposition due to tight diameter tolerances and smooth surface finish. Low warping characteristics reduce the need for highly controlled build chambers and simplify bed adhesion. The bio-based PLA composition enables printing at moderate temperatures with reduced odor compared to some engineering plastics. The green colour provides good visual contrast for display models and functional parts.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into the FDM printer according to the printer manufacturer’s instructions, ensuring proper filament path and tension. Set a nozzle temperature appropriate for PLA on your machine and use a heated bed or adhesion aid if necessary to improve first-layer bonding. Calibrate extrusion multiplier and flow settings as required to achieve accurate dimensions and consistent surface finish. Store the filament spool in a dry place or sealed bag with desiccant when not in use to maintain print quality.
For best results, start with a moderate nozzle temperature within the PLA range and fine-tune based on print quality. Use a print surface prepared for PLA adhesion and consider cooling fan settings to optimise bridging and overhangs. Avoid prolonged exposure to humidity and store the refill spool in a dry environment.
