3D printer filament c-tech PREMIUM LINE ASA 1.75 mm 1 kg, signal blue RAL5005
c-tech PREMIUM LINE ASA 1.75 mm filament in signal blue (RAL5005) is a weather-resistant thermoplastic filament formulated for 3D printing outdoor parts, prototypes and functional components. Supplied on a 1 kg spool with a nominal diameter of 1.75 mm, this ASA filament offers UV stability, good chemical resistance and dimensional stability suitable for applications exposed to sunlight, moisture and moderate chemicals. It is compatible with printers that accept 1.75 mm filament and print at typical extrusion temperatures for ASA.
This ASA filament provides long-term resistance to UV degradation and weathering compared with common amorphous thermoplastics. It has improved dimensional stability for parts that must retain shape under outdoor conditions and shows good resistance to mild chemicals and automotive fluids. The material is suitable for functional parts where toughness, surface quality and color stability are required, and the signal blue color follows RAL5005 standards for consistent colour matching in assemblies.
Load the 1.75 mm ASA filament into a compatible extruder following your printer manufacturer's instructions. Use extrusion temperatures commonly recommended for ASA and adjust print settings for layer adhesion and surface finish: typical nozzle temperatures for ASA are higher than PLA and may require a heated bed and enclosure to minimise warping. Calibrate flow and retraction to reduce stringing when printing the signal blue ASA. Allow sufficient cooling time where appropriate for bridging and overhangs, and inspect prints for consistent extrusion and layer bonding.
For best outdoor performance, post-process printed parts with appropriate UV-stable coatings if long-term colour retention beyond the inherent ASA stability is required. Store the filament in a cool, dry place or sealed container with desiccant to prevent moisture uptake that can affect print quality. When switching from other materials, purge the hot end to avoid contamination and ensure consistent extrusion.
