Filament c-tech PREMIUM LINE ASA 1.75 mm 1 kg — RAL7012 basalt gray
c-tech PREMIUM LINE ASA 1.75 mm 1 kg — RAL7012 basalt gray is a weather-resistant 3D printing filament designed for functional parts and outdoor use. Manufactured in a 1.75 mm diameter and supplied on a 1 kg spool, this ASA filament offers improved UV and chemical resistance compared with common engineering plastics, with stable dimensional properties suitable for mechanically loaded components and long-term exposure to sunlight and moisture.
This c-tech PREMIUM LINE ASA filament provides reliable weather and UV resistance, reduced susceptibility to fading and degradation, and consistent extrusion due to controlled diameter tolerances. Its mechanical stability supports printing of rigid, load-bearing parts while maintaining good layer adhesion and low warping compared to standard ABS. The basalt gray RAL7012 colour gives a neutral, professional finish for prototypes, housings and outdoor fixtures.
Load the 1.75 mm filament into a compatible FDM/FFF 3D printer and set extrusion parameters according to the printer and nozzle size. Typical printing temperatures for ASA are higher than PLA; check your printer and start with the manufacturer’s recommended temperature range for ASA materials. Use a heated bed and an enclosed build chamber when possible to reduce warping and ensure consistent layer bonding. Allow printed parts to cool gradually and inspect for dimensional accuracy and surface quality before post-processing.
For best results when printing with c-tech PREMIUM LINE ASA, use a heated bed (80–110 °C recommended as a starting point), an extrusion temperature suited to your printer and nozzle (commonly 230–260 °C depending on equipment), and an enclosed or draft-free build environment. Apply a suitable bed adhesive or surface treatment to improve first-layer adhesion and consider using increased part cooling only where layer bonding is not compromised. Store the filament in a dry environment or sealed container with desiccant to preserve material properties and printability.
